How Each Step Works
Requisition
Team members submit purchase requests through the catalog or free-form entry. Each requisition captures item details, quantities, estimated costs, delivery dates, and budget codes. The system validates against available budget before routing to approval.
Approval Workflow
Requisitions are routed to the correct approvers based on configurable rules: amount thresholds, department, property, or category. Support for sequential chains (manager then director) and parallel approvals (both finance and ops must sign off). Automatic escalation when approvers miss deadlines.
Purchase Order Generation
Once approved, the system automatically generates a purchase order with all line items, vendor details, payment terms, and delivery instructions. POs link back to the originating requisition, contract, and budget for complete traceability. Send POs to vendors electronically or as PDF.
